To prove this, a recent study by a group at Yale University, USA, concluded that internet-delivered interventions (Online addiction / alcohol therapies) have improved access and deliver addiction treatment to you on your smart phone, iPad or laptop.
The study assessed 137 people struggling with problematic drug and alcohol use. 67% of the participants that completed the web-based program no longer met the diagnostic criteria for a substance use disorder. Yale University researchers also found that an online program designed to teach coping strategies gave people an edge in battling their addictions. The study included users of alcohol, cocaine, and opioids. It focused on group therapy, individual sessions, and online treatment.
